My first tattoo. I had this done at Skunx in Islington, London by Kerry. It’s not quite finished yet, the frame still needs some work. I picked two magpies because I’ve always been superstitious and not a day goes by where I’m not quoting ‘one for sorrow, two for joy’. It was such an enjoyable experience and I’m thrilled with it so far. Kerry is a delight as an artist and as a person, she couldn’t have made me feel more welcome or more comfortable.

MAGPIES OH MY GOD THEY LOOK SO FANTASTIC SO FAR LOOK AT THE BLUE FEATHERS <3

Tattoo done at Anchor, in Bryant, Arkansas by Ryan Jones. Me and my boyfriend have been through so much together, we love each other dearly and we wanted something to resemble that love. We chose to get an anchor on our thumbs resembling the stability of our relationship.  We shall never drift apart. -Brittany

This was my first tattoo and I got it about a year and a half ago. I like it but if I were to do it over again I would probably do some things differently from back then. Interested in what you think though! The artist went a bit outside the lines with the colouring in one place, something that was more my fault than his as I twitched somewhat violently when he did that part

Massively cartoony. Between the human-like body language, the chunky shading, and the monochromatic color scheme, it looks like more of a charizard than a dragon.

I’m poking fun, but also trying to prove a point. If your tattoos aren’t grounded at least somewhat in art history or culture, they’re going to end up looking just… off… there are plenty of European, Asan (East and South), African, and probably N/S American legends and art historical dragon references. Instead this one looks like it was taking a cue from some 90’s tattoos on Google Images. Just kind of unthought out.

Endangered animals photographed at their cutest in the name of conservation

Posing for top photographer Lennette Newell’s ‘Animals’ series, 18 different species ranging from endangered tigers to vulnerable elephants give their cutest or fiercest look.
Working with animal trainers, private owners and educational animal facilities in her native California, Lennette hopes the collection will draw attention to ecology and promote learning.
‘The little rhesus monkey who is staring straight at the camera, he was rescued just the day before from the blackmarket,’ said Lennette.
