“Hello, Montana”: the email I received this morning from my Granny.
This was just too cute, and I thought I’d share it because my Granny is adorable and so much fun. FYI, Moo’s full name is Almond, and she’s an English Setter, and Prince is a Pekingese.
Hope all is well with you and your worlds. It’s almost 11:00 am and Poppy and I are just now moving around. At least I am - he’s still in bed. I let the dogs out this a.m. (2:00) and had Moo on a leash and Prince free. They saw something through the window that was driving them crazy. I pulled Moo back in after she went pee but Prince went wild and didn’t come back. I heard him raising cain down next to our neighbors so I yelled and yelled but he wouldn’t come home. Finally I went out through the garage and saw a deer run through the neighbor’s yard and there was Prince and a really big fox charging at each other. I got in the car and drove to the neighbors to rescue Prince, but all was silent and nothing around. I thought Prince must be dead somewhere, or a least injured, so I put boots on (we have 5” of snow) and I walked down and could not see anything that looked like a furball. The full moon was out and it was like daylight outside. Beautiful!! Anyway, no Prince, so I came back home and waited. Finally at 3:00, I see Prince setting on the back porch all smug and manly looking. So proud that he could “arm wrestle” a big fox and come home unscathed! But I was ready to shoot him. He doesn’t have a scratch on him. FINALLY, I went back to bed and that’s the beginning of my day so far.
XOXO - Granny
Ahahahaha, oh my gosh, he’s all “smug and manly looking”. That is SO funny. Eeeeeee.
