Killing Off Characters: A Personal Playlist
I’m feeling hormonal, so this is why I’ve posted this.
One of you knows what this is for, and yes, I’ve tagged you BECAUSE I WANT YOU TO FEEL THIS TOO.
Not entirely finished, but I was feeling in the mood to depress myself. Who knew. I’m planning the death of a couple of dear characters of mine, and I kind of don’t want to kill them because I’ve gotten so attached, but it just needs to be done. (FYI, for those not in the know, N’kio and Metanath are my characters from a Dragonriders of Pern roleplay. YES I ROLEPLAY DRoP AND IT’S LOADS OF FUN.) So here’s a list of some songs that make me think about them.
Some songs apply well to the situation, others take a little imagination (e.x., some are based on a romantic plot, which this is not, and others are not meant to be sad at all, but I’ve made them horribly depressing in my mind). Anyway, just for me to remind myself of the upcoming doom, so enjoy some gloomy, sad, depressing songs while I bathe in my tears! :)
And OF COURSE I get massive character inspiration the day of my midterm. Of course. How else would it work out.

Sort of writing out certain emotionally traumatic scenes right now and IT HURTS but it’s a good kind of writer hurt.
Just…I’m going to make lots of references to a movie in particular, because I just think the dialogue is so powerful and if you get it I will love you forever.

If you have a career in international relations, what is your job title? Are there many jobs in int’l relations, or is that just an umbrella term?
I suppose what I’m asking is:
- Is “International Relations” a job in itself, or is it a field?
- If the latter, what jobs are available to you if you work in said field?
